Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links
Designed by Bernhard Langer, the championship links’ course covers 180 acres of classic terrain. The course takes full advantage of a glorious natural setting. Here, professionals and amateurs alike can appreciate a links that combines all the charms of a traditional layout with the challenge of the modern game.
As Bernhard Langer himself said: ‘There are very few locations in Europe which could have allowed me the opportunity and landscape to design such a classic championship links. I hope all those who play it discover its magic and challenging beauty.’
Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links
The land upon which the 4-star Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links has been built was originally part of the Jameson (of Irish Whiskey fame) family estate and the property itself was called St Marnock’s House. The Jameson family had a nine-hole golf course on the site over 100 years ago which has been absorbed within both the neighbouring Portmarnock Golf Club and the hotel’s own Bernhard Langer designed Golf Links.
The Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links is set in splendid surroundings overlooking a magnificent stretch of beach. The clever design of the hotel ensures that every room enjoys a view out over either the sea or the beautiful golf course. Every modern convenience has been included to ensure that guests feel cosseted at all times.
